The Speech Visualizer software program from STR-SpeechTech
provides real-time visual feedback of voice and speech articulation.
The program uses a process that creates patterns from the speech
waveform. The real-time display can be used to provide visual
feedback of the pronunciation of vowels, diphthongs, and consonants
in hearing impaired patients, as well as patients with normal
hearing.
The Speech Visualizer Instruction Manual and software install
is offered as a simple and easy download from this site. This
initial release of the program is currently available free of
charge.
Follow these easy steps to install the Speech Visualizer program:
1. Download the Manual: Download
Speech Visualizer Instruction Manual here. Once downloaded,
you may view or print the manual for future reference.
Note: Adobe Reader is required to read this PDF instruction manual.
If you do not have Adobe Reader, go to the Adobe
website for a free download of the program.
2. Setup the Hardware: Follow the hardware installation
instructions provided in the manual, and ensure that you hardware
setup is properly connected and configured before continuing.
3. Download the Software:
a) Download Speech Visualizer
software here.
b) Save the file in the Downloads folder on your PC or on your
desktop.
c) Double-click the SpeechVisualizer.exe and follow the on-screen
prompts to download the software.
d) In some Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems, you
must intentionally run the executable file as the administrator.
If during installation you encounter administrator rights problems,
right-click on the SpeechVisualizer.exe and select Run As Administrator
